Population Distribution and Demand Settings

The total population consists of 5 separate populations.

Population 1: Enters --> Head to ticketing area --> Head to platform to board

Population 2: Enters from main entrances --> Head to platforms and board

Population 3: Alight from train --> Head to restroom area --> Exit from main entrances

Population 4: Alights from train --> Exit from main entrances

Layout Configuration

Main hall, Platform 1, and ticketing areas values are mandatory. If only one platform is available set width and length of Platform 2 zero (Platform Area 2: Width = 0 & Platform Area 2: Length = 0).

Corridors Settings

Corridors in the simulator represent the pathways that connect the main hall of the station with the platforms. These corridors can be either stairways or escalators, each impacting movement and accessibility differently.

  1. Stairways require passengers to walk up or down manually, which may affect travel time depending on crowd density.

  2. Escalators provide continuous movement but have a fixed speed and capacity, influencing passenger flow efficiency.

Four corridors are assigned to each platform. Choose the appropriate corridor type based on the station layout and passenger needs.
